Fat Girl Slim

I think Fat Girl Slim is the best book I've written. It came about because as a voracious (greedy, actually) eater I had got really fat. While writing this book I managed to lose over four stone.

FGS is an absolutely honest account of everything I thought, cooked and ate over about 10  months. It is one of the few diet books that celebrates the sheer irresistibility of food rather than the worthiness of its nutritional content. It is also full of  'been-there-done-it' advice and supportive information about the problems and pitfalls of dieting. With lots of stunning photographs, it celebrates good food and yet is truly helpful to those who need to lose weight.

It is nine years since I wrote Fat Girl Slim and I have put back all the weight I lost, and some. Which means it's high time I re-read what I wrote and followed my own advice.
